Outstanding lunch. Five of us in Florence for four days. Found this restaurant while walking in neighborhood.
Obviously a local favorite. We ate in courtyard in hot weather, but the shade kept us cool enough.
Five different lunches and desserts. It was In top two lunches on our trip of two weeks in Italy. Couldn't have enjoyed it more.
Never got inside, but posted pics make it look nice.
Hopefully we'll return to Florence someday. This will be a definite stop. -

Always read the poor review first before picking a restaurant.
This place is overrated place with poor service
The food was good but not great. Menu only in Italian and the server was impatient with answering questions. Without google translation we'd never be able to order with the lack of help.
He charged us an extra item when the bill came, probably slipped it in thinking we're are tourists and won't understand what it is. Luckily nowadays we have Google translate. He even asked for extra tips! -

Out of our 5 night stay in Florence, this was my favorite meal. Pretty tempted to give it 5 stars but I don't want to be THAT person who gives out 5 stars for everything but trust me this place won't disappoint. Got the ossobucco and it came with an untraditional sauce that tasted pretty dam good. The stuffed pear pasta was there thing and it was pretty good as well. Could've been a little hotter in temperature but what do i know, i like to eat my food burning hot.
Reservations are a HIGHLY, I repeat HIGHLY recommended. We made ours day of and got a 9:30 seating which wasn't too bad for Italy dinner time. Seems like everyone likes to eat late here. -

4 Leoni was in my top 5 dinner places during my trip to Italy. I highly recommended it to anyone visiting Florence. The locals love it and I can see why.
The place is dimly lit, nice decor, and intimate. We were welcomed with big smiles. The service was attentive from the moment we sat until we walked out the door.
Please order the Pear Ravioli. This dish is mouth-watering. I was sad as I watched each ravioli start disappearing. Pair this dish with a white vino and you are set for the night. We finished our dinner with a delicious tiramisu but really I just wanted more of the Pear Ravioli. Get it! It's delicious! -

I found this place on several US based food blogs. I didn't want to go here because I wanted an authentic experience, but I saw some people saying the pear raviolis or whatever are the best food they've ever had. Reservations recommended or come early, this place got busy quickly!
Anyway, I am here to dispel my false presumption that this is a tourist spot and want to say that this place is legit. It's authentic- and id return again despite the many amazing food options in Florence.
What to get:
1. House wine
2. Pear stuffed pasta (OMG!!- one of the best things I've ever had)
3. Meat (had the sliced steak one)
4. Chocolate pear dessert - did not blow me away but was unique
Service was great and one of the few places you can meet some fellow Americans (is this a good thing? Lol), we had a great conversation with a couple sitting near us :)
